There are over 5800 described species of jumping spiders in the world! That makes it the largest family of spiders with about 13% of all species. The one below has been identified by a colleague Lee Chia How as
Telamonia dimidiata.

Jumping spiders have some of the best vision among arthropods and use it in courtship, hunting, and in negotiating their way around. Although they normally move unhurriedly, most species are capable of very agile jumps when hunting, and sometimes in response to sudden threats or crossing long gaps.

All jumping spiders have four pairs of eyes, with the anterior median pair being particularly large.
