For those who came in late (remember this well worn line from Phantom Comics?!!!) my trip to Ladakh was a disaster. Just the day I landed in Delhi news came in of a cloud burst. The landslides and floods claimed the lives of tens of people. Hundreds were missing.

I was supposed to drive with a group of friends from Delhi to Leh. We changed plans and decided to drive to Gangotri instead. Unfortunately as we neared Gangotri we found the route blocked by a landslide. We changed route and tried Yamunotri. Guess what…landslide again. Our last option, Chakrata…landslide yet again. I won’t say more.

Still we did pass some beautiful places on route. Here’s a small collection taken mostly from our moving car!
